Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toniz Collins, also known as Antonietta Gonzalez-Collins in both the United States and Mexico, is a Mexican-American sportscaster. Her current job is with ESPN as a news anchor for SportsCenter as well as occasionally hosting SportsNation. Her first assignment with ESPN in the year 2016. She is the child of TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bi-lingual and has been so since the age of nine. This skill allowed her to land her first job with Univision, Miami. She was able to work alongside national producers on shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. Then, the CBS station in St. Petersburg employed her as a sport reporter. In 2009, she relocated in Rio Grande Valley to work as a journalist for KNVO TV 48 Univision & Fox2 News. Reports on her show covered immigration issues drugs, immigration, as well as other issues on both the Texas as well as the Mexico border. Also, she was an anchor and Spanish reporter at the newscast at 5 p.m. as well as anchor and reporter for the newscast of nine p.m. in English and an anchor and reporter for the newscast of 9 p.m. in English, as well Spanish reporter at 10 p.m. She was also frequently required to act as an anchor for sports and weather. They eventually were moved into Mexico City where she was born on November 22 1985. There is an older sister. There is an older sibling. In 1992, the couple divorced then shortly thereafter in 1995 she remarried Fabio Fajardo, a naval engineer who died in 2006 due to kidney cancer. It was during a holiday in the summer that she lived with her younger sister in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl was offered a job. Still a senior in high school and yet having a clear vision of about what she wanted to pursue with her life Antonietta went to at the University of Mount Union to assess if it suited her needs. It was a beautiful campus and offered the degree she wanted. She graduated from school and was attended the university with a media studies major. Mark Bergmann - her professor was also the station manager at WRMU (91.1 FM) which was where she felt at home. The professor encouraged her to have self-confidence and was deeply touched by his passion for journalism.
